- Development:
Develop your pieces (Knights, Bishops, Rooks and the Queen) as fast as possible. First, develop your minor pieces (Knight & Bishop) and major pieces (Rook & Queen). Develop center pawns only to control the center and make the pieces come out easily.
- Center Control:
It is good to push only a few pawns in the beginning. Because then you will lag in the development of your pieces. Just push the center pawns in the opening to control the center and get all the pieces out quickly.
- King’s Safety:.
King castle as soon as possible! And the king’s front pawns after the castle cannot be pushed for no reason. Then King’s defense will be weakened.
- Don’t develop Mejor pieces (Queen & Rook) early:
It is not good to initially attack with major pieces (queen or rook). Because then the opponent’s minor pieces can trap his queen or rook by his pawn. Even if it is not a trap, the opponent’s pieces can quickly develop by attacking the queen or rook. Then you will lag behind the opponent in development.
- Exchange correctly:
No exchange can be made where the opponent’s pieces are developed if there is no material profit. Along with the development of your pieces, it is your job to hinder the development of the opponent’s pieces.
- Make Double Bishop Advantage:
Try to keep the two bishops if possible. Don’t trade a bishop for a knight without any reason. The bishops are very powerful in open and semi-open positions. But if the position gets closed then try to keep Knights. Because Knight works very well at a close position.
- Don’t move a piece twice in the opening:
Moving a piece more than once in the opening will delay the development.
- Simplify or Critical position:
If you material up then try to simplify the position. By making a simple position you can win easily.
If material is down then make the position very critical. By making a critical position you can make a change for a good result.
- Pawn move safely:
Pawn move only when this is necessary. Remember only pawns cannot come back. So when you move your pawn then check its safety. If any pawn goes very far alone then it can be trapped easily.
- Double Pawn & Isolated Pawn:
Don’t make double pawn and isolated pawn. Because double pawns & isolated pawns are weakness. Sometimes double pawns are not bad when double pawns are connected with other pawns or those double pawns are in the centre.
